vBarter - Trade ID and Account Numbers
Posted by Bruce Kamm (Import) on January 14 2011 07:25 AM

vBarter generates a unique system wide 14 digit trade ID each time a new member account is created by a member, admin or broker, which is similar to a Visa or MC number. You can find the Trade ID on each member’s information screen, by clicking on Members > Members > Manage and then the Company Name. Each exchange has a unique 4 digit BIN number, which is the first 4 numbers of the Trade ID.

The Trade ID is used to process transactions through the voice authorization system, or using any standard merhant (ePOS) terminal activated with our terminal software. It can also be used with a 4 digit PIN to get trade balances and other account info from our voice recognition IVR system.

The Trade Card with Trade ID can also be used by members to purchase from other merchant members in other barter exchanges that you link your exchange to throughout the world that are participating in the Trade Card program.

We can add an application to your exchange that links a Trade ID to an online member account. Therefore, you could issue any Trade Card with any Trade ID to any member, and then the member can activate and link their card to their member account.

In addition to a Trade ID generated by the system, you can also assign any account number you wish to your members.
