Q: How can members buy if they haven't made any sales?

A: You give new members a credit line, much like a credit card company provides cardholders with a credit line. Typically from $500 to $1500, $2500 for long established businesses, and on a case by case basis, larger credit lines up to $25,000 for large companies.

 
You just need to be careful with credit lines so that you're only giving them to established businesses that are paying their fees by credit card, so that in the event a member spends trade and then doesn't offer anything for sale, and doesn't repay the credit line with sales, you charge their credit card in cash.
